Original Fragrances

Victoria's Secret, founded in 1977 by Roy Raymond, was conceived as a retail haven where men could comfortably shop for lingerie and gifts for their partners without feeling self-conscious.     Very Sexy For Her 2 is my favorite. It stirred feelings of desire in most men and women always asked what I was wearing. Wear this and a close touch will turn into something more. Its fragrance is intoxicating in a most pleasurable way. I'm wearing it now. Happy Valentines day.

    I wore Her Majestys Rose for years. I would literally buy the soap, body wash, lotion, and the body/oil spray. I always smelled like beautiful real roses and everyone told my how good I smelled. My mother eve like doing my dirty laundry because it smelled so good. I went to college in 1994 and bought it in bulk. When I eventually ran out.. I went to get more and found out they stopped making it. To this day it's one of the things I'm most dissappointed about. I have never found a scent as wonderful or as real as that was. They made another rose perfume not long ago.. supposed to be close to it.. it stunk.. didn't even smell like roses. Reminded me of old lady toilet water.. if they were to ever bring the original scent back I wld buy them up as fast as they hit the shelves. I would so love to have this scent back. It's light and not over powering.

      They now have rose back -and it smells just like i remember her majestys smelling like -that is all i wore! i just got it today and love it. it is on sale for 6$ it is not perfume but a light oil and also a lotion and body wash. they have perfume but it is a different scent of rose.this is rose in the body collection so excited!!

    I agree with the above. Her Majesty's Rose was the only line that I loved from VS. That is the only scent I ever bought, the rest are too overwhelming for me. This was just the perfect amount of rose and no other smell. I was highly disappointed that they discontinued it.

      I agree about the original, now vintage where I always had the fragrance candle burning. I have all the original bottles that I can still faintly smell which bring back so many, many memories! Even if you brought that back for just a day, I would buy it all, including the layering products!

    I miss the original Victoria fragrance as well. Would get a new year's supply every Christmas. WHY would they discontinue such a popular fragrance ? The ones they have out now are incredibly icky sweet. Has anyone found anything close to the original Victoria fragrance? Please advise.

      I used a friends lotion the other day from Bath and Body Works "Thousand Wishes" and loved it. The fragrance haunted me all day as I tried to remember where I recognized it...and then it hit me...it smells like VS original Victoria! My all time favorite! I have ordered my own lotion, spray, and shower gel to see if that was actually it. Maybe it was the combination of the lotion and the hand soap at work...I don't know buy I'm going to figure it out!

    I fell in love with the fragrance incredible daring. Its unique, and smells amazing. Now that's its discontinued, I can only find a handful online that sellers are charging $120- $190 for! That's insane. I really hope they bring it back, I'll buy out the entire stock.

      i have been having the same problem finding the original pink i did the live chat and she said they discontinued it i havent been able to find it for about 4-5 years now and when you ask the associates in the store about it they have no idea what you are talking about i did find it on ebay but they want double or triple the price so frustrating

      agreed!! I found some online at Amazon *a huge markup in price* was so excited when it arrived! my kids were even excited - my daughter said "that's your smell! I always knew when you came home, because I could smell your perfume"! and my son happily sprayed it all over himself. I missed the 2016 re - release. without my perfume being available, I definitely don't shop there as much as I would when my scent is available. REALLY hope they do another re-release, because I'd definitely stock up!

    I have refused to buy anything from VS since they discontinued Exotic Bouquet. They obviously do not care about disappointing their loyal customer base, since so many women are begging for them to bring back their signature fragrances. Victoria Secret Corp is all fluff, no substance. I am happy to take my business elsewhere.

    When I was in high school back in the early 90's my dad bought me a VS perfume and make up set. The perfume was in a gold atomizer and I saved the empty for so long but it was lost somewhere. I have no idea what it was called but it was my favorite. Anybody know what I'm talking about? I know it's a long shot.

      I have the gold atomizer also with the empty vial "Victoria" in it! My darling husband gave this and a bottle of "Rapture" to me very long ago. The Rapture, which I did not care for at the time, but now love!, still smells the same! Beautiful!!! BTW, it seems that there was more than the one vial of Victoria that came with the atomizer.

    This is ALL PROOF that merchants don't care about their loyal customers any more.
    I always had to WAIT to for the next truck to get Her Majesty's Rose items as well as Violet Rose. Any item that sells like that should not be taken off the market. The women in the stores always said these items fly off the shelf as soon as it comes in. I remember waiting in line while they were looking for it in the shipment. Puzzling.

    I don't know who runs all theses companies but they must be really dumb. EVERYTHING I like from Deodorant,soap, Mascara,shampoo it all gets discontinued and I just went in V.S. to buy my 6 month supply of ENDLESS LOVE BODY SPRAY to find out they discontinued it. I was and am beyond upset. I started crying in the store. I am VERY ALLERGIC to ALL Perfumes & Body Spray. I found endless love when I was 14 I am now 32 and use about 14 bottles a year. It's the ONLY perfume I can wear. PLEASE I BEG YOU BRING IT BACK. I CAN'T WEAR ANYTHING ELSE!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!

      I agree. Endless Love was my favorite and the only VS body mist I liked. I had been using it since the year 2000. When I went to buy more and found out it was discontinued I felt like crying. I have so many memories linked to that scent :( I keep hoping they will bring it back. The quality of their product is not the same. The products go bad faster. Sad.. I wish they would go back to the old formulas and quality. I have boycotted VS since they discontinued Endless Love. I found out by an employee from Bath and Body that VS and Bath and Body Works belong to the same company.

      I boycotted them too when they discontinued ENDLESS LOVE. My mom my aunt cousins and my mother in law ALL have stopped shopping there because they discontinued that scent. I even went as far as emailing VS AND SENT A LETTER did they care NOPE! I have worn that scent since I was 19 yrs old! I got sooooooo many compliments. Its just terrible how they just don't care...

    PLEASE,PLEASE, PLEASE bring back 2009 Very Sexy Now Beauty of Brazil Mist!!! It is the BEST Very Sexy Now Mist EVER!! I have been calling, emailing and asking in VS stores since 2010! It was Summer in a bottle. The perfume doesn't smell the same but the mist will sell out if you bring it back. 2008-2010 were really good but the past few years I have may purchased one bottle if any.     I have been using Body by Victoria ever since it first came out. My sister liked the way it smelled and bought a bottle, however, it turns out she didn't like the way it smelled on her. So, she let me try it out. I put it on and fell in love. To this day, I get about 2-3 compliments A DAY when I wear it. Needless to say, I was heartbroken when I went to VS yesterday to stock up and found out it was discontinued. I almost cried. I had to do the painful smell testing with the sales associate to find a substitute. I went online and have stocked up through Amazon. I cannot believe VS is doing this with the original scents. If it's not broken don't fix it!!!!! They are putting out cheap smelling stuff that a 12 year old would wear. I am extremely disappointed in VS and will most likely stop shopping there if it does not come back.

      I love Rapture, wore it for years, my signature fragrance! I can't believe they discontinued it. I've somewhat been boycotting VS ever since. I can't find any fragrance I like as well as Rapture! Please bring it back! Why do they do that? So many people like the original fragrances from VS.     Am I the only one that remembers the "secrets collection"? They were numbers. I believe it was 33, 55, 66, 77, & 88... I can't quite remember if those are all the right numbers.     Rapture is the ONLY scent I have worn since 1992 and I also just discovered when going in to make a replenishment purchase, that it was being discontinued. I am devastated, and sincerely at a loss for what to do. I mean it when I say it has been the ONLY scent that I have used for more than twenty. years. Some may say it is time for a change, but I stand with the previous poster who stated, "IF IT'S NOT BROKE, DON"T FIX IT". Truly disappointed with VS.

      I agree, I have used Rapture since it came out and the prices online are ridiculous. I mentioned to a Customer Service Rep at VS they should bring it back and they said they would pass it on..... Hmmm doesn't seem like it. At least let your long time customers know you were discontinuing so we could purchase a few bottles before they all appear online for $100 or more.... I am not very impressed with the selection they offer now. Rapture was good price for a fragrance that obviously customers liked.

    Seems like VS doesn't care what real women want. I have missed the original Victoria hand cream and perfume and now they have discontinued my Rapture. Velvet hand cream scent lasted all day. Even my dentist asked what I was wearing years ago. Got so many compliments when I wore it and I only used the velvet hand cream, the lotion didn't last. Please,VS bring back our favorites.

    I went to VS today with my mom, to pick up my bottle of Rapture for my birthday.....Only to find that they have discontinued it �� I used 2 bottles a year, plus shower gel, body lotion, body spray....And have worn it for 20 years!!! My heart is broken, I feel like I have lost a part of my life/past...I refused to pick a new VS fragrance. I went to Macy's and went with Jimmy Choo....Let's see if it makes the cut...

    I agree with all the posts about Rapture being discontinued, very disappointing. I am also part of the group that has ONLY used Rapture for many many years. I have just alittle left and went to VS to buy a new bottle, needless to say I walked out of the store not purchasing anything. One of the sales people suggested another scent they thought might be similar, it was not even close. I have never found any perfume that compares to Rapture. PLEASE BRING RAPTURE BACK!!!!

    My favorite was called " the fragrance" I got the most complements every time I wore it. There was a similar one they came out with I think it was the newer Victoria or body by Victoria.. but even that has been disc. The nee Aden s are sickeningly sweet or overwhelmingly floral like my grandmother. 😞

    Went in to buy Rapture for my wife for Christmas and didn't realize until I got there that it was discontinued. Salesperson tries to sell me bombshell as a replacement lol after smelling every perfume in the store I realized all of them smelled about the same as each other really soft with fruit nothing like Rapture needless to say we left the store this year with money in the pocket and a mad scramble to find a different gift instead of the go-to that I knew she would love because she does every year.thank you Victoria secrets it was bad enough when you took the make up kits out now I have no reason to shop there

    I use to be an advid Victoria Secrets Shopper. Infact the only fragrance that you would catch me wearing other than Bodacious by Graham(which is now also a discontinued fragrance)was Victoria's line. Yet I must say that when they decided to discontinue Rapture..I had to stop shopping there altogether. I
    felt that they had totally let their customers down. Why would you producing or selling a fragrance or any utem for that matter that the public liked. It makes no sense to me. And if you have so many people that have complained or requested it to be put back into pruduction..you would think that it it the public/customer that matters.

    I fell in love with Exotic Embrace in 8th grade, then strawberries and champagne. I stock piled every lotion and shower gel, then started stock piling rapture- since they have completely discontinued ALL shower gels and everything I loved I am sad to say that I now have to find something else. I’ve literally gone online (eBay) and bought every bottle of Strawberries and Champagne shower gel/lotion I can find some bottles I paid over $100 for. My only option is now bath and body and I detest everything I smelled in there. Someone point me in a direction of good stuff. VS has lost me forever!

    Breathless was one of my favs which I still cannot get over vs discontinuing it! I absolutely loved Breathless! Then to make it even worse, Rapture is now discontinued. I can't understand why vs continuously discontinues their BEST LOVED FRAGRANCES and THEY DO NOT CARE!

      It has been brought back but is now named "Very Sexy Night" an associate told me it was always a part of the Very Sexy line but now carries the name. The bottle is still black but the design of the bottle is also different.

    Several years ago VS had a holiday shimmer fragrance mist collection. I think there were 4 different fragrances but the one I loved was called Starry Night, it was a clear fragrance with a light shimmer to it in a clear bottle. They had it that one year and not again. I've looked for something that smells even somewhat similar ever since but have never found anything close enough. Wish they would bring it back so I could stock up.

      I have been checking every year to see if they have brought Starry Night back. Sadly, as you are aware, they have not. And, like you, I've never been able to find anything close to it.

    There isn't a man alive, old or young that doesn't instantly love the ORIGINAL VS Victoria perfume from the '90's. I just want to bury myself in the scent and stay there. The reformulated version of Victoria that you released a few years ago was horrid & cheap, like a $2.50 Tommy Bahama body spray at TJMaxx. 1) Why did you discontinue the original version of Victoria? 2) Why did you think reformulating it into nose singeing, flower scented, cat urine was smart? Who's the deranged moron behind these (2) idiotic decisions? Please bring the original '90's Victoria perfume back.
    Sincerely, everyone w/$$ to spend on perfume that doesn't want to smell like a CVS low-shelf skanky tramp.

    Please bring back Pear Glacier products. It was a unique product. Nothing today is compatible. The aroma was one of a kind. Please bring it back.

    I'm hoping with all the changes VS is undergoing to make it more appealing to the masses, they will consider bringing back the old favourites. I was a teenager in VS's heydey, and now that I'm in my 40s, I can afford to buy all those luxurious perfumes on my own that I had to beg relatives to buy me at Christmas! VS is sitting on a gold mine and don't know it.
    My favourite scents were Her Majesty's Rose, Peach Hyacinth, Romantic Bouquet and Tranquil Breezes.
    I've actually purchased a few of the discountinued items on eBay-sadly, some of the perfumes have gone bad-they have a strange undertone and don't last long.
    I agree, VS should either bring back the old school versions once a year or perhaps have a "Classics" section, where the OG scents are showcased.
